Advantages/Limitations

Advantage of Technique/Equipment Fast analysis, no need of calibration, dry method allows to avoid dissolving of fines. Estimation of specific surface area of the material. Pressure titration may detect fragility of particles.
Limitations of Technique/Equipment Sample is lost at the end of the analysis. Highly cohesive powders can lead to false interpretation of particle size. Can be difficult to interpret in case of irregular particle shape.
