Modulation ramp can help in study of complex thermal behaviour by allowing deconvolution of signals. Effective low temperature measurements from -50 degrees C. Results may be combined with TGA.

Limitations of Technique/Equipment Destructive technique. Sample may change during the analysis due to the thermal perturbation. Quantitative experiments require calibration.
